1. To accept an interview or do practice questions, please select the option to start the interview in the invitation email.
Please note: As Flash is no longer supported, OnDemand interviews cannot be completed on Internet Explorer. The interview needs to be completed in Chrome, the HireVue application for job seekers, or other supported browsers (such as Firefox or Safari).
2. The first page of the interview will list your name, the job title you applied for, the company name, the expected length of the interview, and the equipment required. To continue the interview, you need to choose to start the interview or practice .
3. The terms and conditions are listed on the next page . To continue the interview, you must select the option I agree . If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please contact the company you are applying for.
4. You are now on the webcam and microphone access page. Click Allow , and then click Close in the small Flash Player dialog box . In the screenshot below, these parts are marked in red.
Note: If you use a browser for the interview, such as Google Chrome or Firefox, you will not see this screen.
5. Your device will be tested on the next page. If one of the devices fails, you will be notified here and need to troubleshoot the problem.
After all necessary devices have passed the test, the page will look like the screenshot below:
6. Next, your image and microphone volume meter will be displayed. At this point, you will see your image and how the microphone volume meter changes when you speak . If you can’t see yourself or the blue indicator of the change in the microphone volume meter, you need to adjust your microphone or webcam settings before proceeding.
After the equipment is ready, we recommend that you choose to try a practice question to practice before the interview.
7. The next step tells you how many opportunities to answer each question. In this example, only one attempt is allowed per question. This option may be different, depending on the settings of the company you are applying for. Click Continue to continue to the practice questions.
8. Next, you will see a summary of a practice question. When you start to do an exercise or real interview questions, you will see the questions listed on the left. The preparation time will count down. You can choose to start recording early or wait for the preparation time to end. After the preparation time is over, you will see a countdown to 3, 2, 1 before the question starts recording .
Please note: During the preparation period, you will see a disclaimer and no recording.
9. During the video answer period, your answer will be recorded and the response time will count down. You don’t need to run out of response time; you can click "Answer Complete" after you have completed your answer. Otherwise, your recording will be automatically submitted after the allocated response time is exhausted.
10. Then you can look at your practice questions. If you want to do another practice question, choose to do another practice question .
Do as many practice questions as you need. Practice questions can be recorded for your convenience, but will not be saved. No one but you can see your practice questions. You will not be able to review your real interview questions.
Please note: If you want to practice today and start the interview next day, you can continue to do the practice questions and then close the page to exit the interview. If you want to enter the interview again, you can click on the link in the invitation email to enter the interview, just like the original operation.
11. When you are ready for the interview, choose to start the interview .
12. After completing the interview, the interview content will be uploaded to the company's HireVue account. They will then inform you of the next step in the recruitment process. Since HireVue only provides support for the interview platform, we are not involved in the hiring decision or the next steps. After completing the video interview, if you have any questions about the position, please contact the company you are applying for.
