Understanding Interview Retake Limitations
Once you've submitted a response to an interview question, you cannot return to that specific question. This applies to:
- Individual questions within an ongoing interview
- Any part of a completed interview
Requesting a Complete Interview Retake
If you need to retake your entire interview, please note:
For Completed Interviews
- Only the hiring company can authorize a new interview attempt
- You must contact them directly to request this opportunity
- If approved, they will send you a new interview link
For In-Progress Interviews
- If you wish to restart your current interview from the beginning
- You still need the hiring company's explicit approval
- The same contact process applies
How to Contact the Hiring Company
You can typically find the hiring company's contact information in:
- Your interview invitation email
- Your candidate profile
- The career website where you applied for the position
Important Note About HireVue's Role
HireVue provides the interview software platform, but:
- We are not directly involved in hiring decisions
- We cannot authorize interview retakes
- All retake requests must be approved by the hiring company
