Select the option to start the interview in the e-mail invitation.
Note! Interviews will not be able to be conducted with Internet Explorer because Flash is no longer supported. Interviews must be conducted with Chrome, the HireVue app for candidates, or other supported browsers, such as Firefox or Safari.
The first page of the interview shows your name, the position you are applying for, the company you are applying to, the estimated time for the interview and the equipment required. Continue by selecting Start Interview or Exercise .
The next page shows the general terms and conditions . Continue by selecting I accept . If you are unable to accept the terms and conditions, please contact the company you are applying to.
4. Now you come to the access page for camera and microphone. Click Allow and then Close in the small Flash Player dialog box . These sections are marked in red in the screenshot below.
Note! If you use the Google Chrome or Firefox browser when conducting the interview, this window will not appear.
5. The equipment is tested on the next page. If something in the equipment does not work, you will be notified that the problem must be resolved.
When all required equipment is working properly, this screen will appear:
6. Then your picture and a microphone meter are displayed. Your picture is displayed and the microphone meter moves while you are talking . If you do not see yourself or the blue microphone meter, you need to adjust either the microphone or webcam settings before proceeding.
When it is ready, we recommend that you test an exercise question before you start the interview.
7. The next page shows how many attempts you have to answer each question. In this example, only one attempt per question is allowed. The alternative may vary depending on how the company you are applying to has set up the interview. Click Continue to continue to the exercise questions.
8. A detailed description of the exercise questions is then displayed. When you start an exercise or real interview, the question appears on the left. The preparation time is counted down. You can select Start recording to start earlier or wait until the preparation time is completed. When the preparation time is over, you see 3, 2, 1 as a countdown until the question starts to be recorded.
Note! During the preparation time, you will see the Warning Not Recording.
9. The video response is recorded and the response time is counted down. If you finish before the response time expires, you can click Done with a reply. Otherwise, your recording will be sent automatically when the response time has elapsed.
10. Then you can look at your exercise question. If you want another exercise question, select Answer another exercise question .
Answer as many practice questions as you need. The exercise questions are recorded so that you can look at them but they are not saved. Only you can look at your practice questions. You can not review the real interview questions.
Note! If you want to practice today and start the interview another day, you can continue to do practice questions and then close the page and end the interview. When you want to access the interview again, follow the link in the e-mail invitation in the same way as before.
11. When you are ready to start the interview, select Start the interview .
12. Once you have completed the interview, it will be transferred to the company's account in HireVue. They will then contact you and inform you about the next step in the recruitment process. As HireVue only provides support for the interview platform, we are not involved in the recruitment decisions or any post-interview steps. Contact the company you are applying to if you have questions about the position you are applying for when you have completed the video interview.
